Writing my list of things i’m moving away from/toward in 2024 ~ Marketing is #2 (scarcity is #1) ~ I’m trying to avoid all aspects of marketing, including my own. Unfortunately, there really is no escaping it and running a business requires it. However, I am determined to find another way as best as I can. Unsubscribe, delete. I only want what’s truly meaningful to me. And if this is an email that no longer serves you then please, unsubscribe (although, I will actually miss you, I am forever grateful for your presence here). And that is why, I want to make this space more intentional & thoughtful. Through this platform, I want to offer you healing words of wisdom through an herbal looking glass.
On that note, I would love your feedback… What brings you to this space and how can I better serve you? Do you actually enjoy the marketing? Recipes? Specific herbal insights? What I ate for dinner last night? Let me know in the comments! Your engagement truly helps, so thanks in advance :)
May one day my efforts be found of use to you. This year I hope to provide you more guidance in that light.
I was going to once again, explain my feelings about Instagram but i’m pretty sure we all feel the same way. It is too much. Too chaotic. Too time consuming. Too much marketing. It’s a vampire, sucking all the life right on out of ya.
What i’m working on…
I am delighted to introduce two new candle fragrances within the coming weeks, I think these are the perfect aromas for deep winter. Think calming, yet invigorating…Invigorating calm.
Plant-based Candles are coming back to the shop with their renewed look!
These candles keep their signature fragrances, which are unique blends, each reminiscent of a place in time. Made with plant-based coconut apricot wax, infused with quartz crystals & sustainably sourced essential oils, adorned in a natural stonewashed glass vessel with a crackling wood wick and hemp label. These are the ultimate candle to burn with love for yourself & the earth, infusing your space with the healing fragrances of nature. Each fragrance will transport you to a place of earthly magic… A Desert Palm oasis deep within the Sonoran Desert of California, a Cypress Grove on the Mediterranean coast, the Motherland of the Sicilian countryside and Cedar & Sage from the Pacific Northwest mountains. The dreamiest candles await you… Stay tuned.
I love (love, love) my candle offerings. I love that they are a non-toxic fragrance alternative to infuse your space with feeling, memory & inspiration. But, nothing brings me more joy than when someone purchases herbal products…tinctures, teas, skincare… The things that bring you healing beyond the surface and ultimately, bring us closer to ourselves & Mother Earth on a deeper level. Helping you to create that connection and build daily rituals with plants… Yes, candles are certainly a part of the ritual but they aren’t the ritual. They evoke a feeling but not the healing.
I am excited for new offerings through the Belleville Market this year… Drinks w/ Tincs pop-up anyone!? Look forward to this in late Winter/ early Spring!
As I briefly mentioned above, I will be utilizing this space for what it is, a place to write. Yes, I will talk to you about my offerings but I will no longer simply market them to you. I will share with you. Expect herbal insights, many recipes including how to use my offerings, wisdom, & the continued monthly updates of the ins & outs of Quartz in the Clouds. I want this space to be intentional, and instill the desire of my hearts work into yours.

What i’m working with…
Coming out of overindulgent holidays I’m sticking with core nutrients… A yolky latte first thing, getting in my Colostrum for immune + gut support and making sure to have fruit with breakfast. This time of year my favorite morning snack is half a grapefruit w/ raw honey & walnuts! A true delight! I highly recommend.
I made a garlic & herb compound butter to go along with my Christmas gifting loaves but I forgot them in the fridge so now they’re mine. Enjoying it on toast with a delicately fried egg… it’s actually heavenly.
Daily herbal infusions left to steep for a few hours on the counter. I will either just strain and add honey or add a green tea bag too. My go-to blend is usually a variation of Calming Clouds… Always nettle, oatstraw, & lemon balm, then I top it with whatever I’m feeling… Want the calm? Add the lavender & chamomile, need something a little more therapeutic? Hyssop, mullein or yarrow… Maybe something more invigorating like lemon verbena or peppermint. Stay tuned on some inspo for your own magical herbal infusions.
Morning light, daily walks and fresh air, long candlelit baths then stepping out to gaze at the starry night (the best feeling), daytime bonfires, burning effigies, finding my way through the darkness of winter and noticing the light grow a little longer each day…
I am a summer girl at heart, I love the heat and sunshine and everything about summer but as I get older and time seems to be moving more quickly, I’ve come to cherish these winter months… at least through mid-March, and then my body begins to yearn for springtime. But I love the slow & quiet that winter brings. A time of healing, rest & rejuvenation as we prepare our bodies for the hard work of the next season…
I want to live in the moment. I want to rush nothing.
