I write to you sipping my morning coffee, as the morning sun rises and the dew dissipates with the gentle song of the birds humming in the background. The mornings have been so lovely the past week.
This month I turned 33. I really need to start living it up…jk, I love my life.
This garden is officially in full bloom! As always nothing is perfect but I appreciate all it’s bounty and all my hard work that goes into it. Keeping up with harvesting & processing can be a big task in the peak of summer but the sweat & bug bites are worth it. (Plantain Salve is my savior.) Harvesting all the herbs, beans galore, cucumbers, & hot peppers as the tomatoes & sweet peppers begin to ripen.
I’ve become fully obsessed with making my own clothing…Doing my very best to fit all of my adored pastimes into my schedule…tending the garden, sourdough, making my herbal medicine, keeping the inventory stocked and keeping up with my newsletters…but I do so and I love it so. I’m dedicated to all my crafts and if I have to feed my starter or write this at 10pm, I will get it done.
As the summer begins to slowly wane, I want to live completely in moment. I talk about this while preparing for a trip and as I get a sense of longing for autumn but I want to soak up every ounce of summer…I don’t want to rush anything. I want to slow it all down…I want to savor the fullness of each moment and appreciate all that it gives me, which is life. Let’s savor the sweetness of every drop.
